Chatty dd is attempting to 'sing' along with us these days. Her favorite song is 'Pat a cake' and her version of the song goes like this: "pat cake, pat cake, baker tum ta le ti ah erm tee fon baby and me". She doesn't mind the middle incoherent part of the song or her tuneless tune as she looks really pleased with herself. Sometimes when she's babbling the song non stop and nobody notices enough to commend her, she makes sure to get my attention so that I can acknowledge her attempts at singing. Her other favorite song is Old Mcdonalds. She loves 'singing' the 'eieio's at the appropriate moment. These days she has taken to dictating which animal Old Mcdonalds has on his farm as well.
If she wants to get something that catches her fancy, she will say " how about this one?" If she's in the mood to be difficult, she will say "no I don't want sleep" or eat or whatever else that she refuses to do. She also loves counting 1-8 on her own but not always in perfect order.
These days, her mischievous streak is showing and when you ask her whats daddy name, she will purposely tell you mummy's name and give a gleeful smile.
Our pride and joy, Mai shia Glenys was born in the month of April, in 2007. She was baptised on 9th of September 2007 at St Ignatius Church.

Review
We were back at Paragon medical centre for dd's review today.
DD happily taking her lunch from the table food that we ordered

DD playing at the clinic happily before her turn came
Thankfully, we were allowed to return the nebuliser. DD asked us why there was 'no more smell smell' when she wasn't asked to sit down for her nebuliser session at home.

One of dd's previous session with the nebuliser : holding and sitting quietly by herself
After the pd consultation, we popped down to Crystal Jade Golden Palace for our lunch. Ah ma and ah gong came to Paragon to meet us for lunch and to drive dd back to their home for the afternoon as dh and I had some errands to run.
DD tickling everyone with her funny 'comments'

Aiyo
No lazing in bed today as we had a full day of schedules to keep. First destination was Caleb and Coen's birthday party. Carol had been very thoughtful to arrange for a kids' play area , as well as home cooked food items for the kiddos. We couldn't snap more pics as our camera conked out on us half way thru.

We dashed off even before the cake was cut as we were supposed to meet Brenda and 2 other mummies at CS Jelita. DH and dd were supposed to come along too, but last minute, dh had to zip home to pick up some stuffs he had forgotten.
Brenda, a closet masterchef, had asked us to CS for a review of her 'supermarket tour' so that we can give her our inputs/ feedback/ comments as she is charging other mummies for this service. It was an enlightening tour and I enjoyed myself very much even though I was grimacing quietly because of a serious blister on my foot. By the time I left, my blister had become so ominous, I could barely stand. Not knowing that our last appointment for the day had been cancelled, I bade an early goodbye to Brenda, paid up for my half dozen tins of King Oscar sardines and rushed off to meet dh. We drove quickly all the way only to be told that our appointment had been cancelled. Aiyo !!

Cousins
Its the cousins' meetup today and even tho' dh had scoured thru his numerous cookbooks in anticipation of bringing another one of his culinary masterpieces to share with the cousins, he had had to shelf his ideas as he is just recovering from his bout of cough. Kids are not welcomed at these meetups so all the kiddos have been dunked at their sitters' for the evening =P. This is one gathering we always try not to miss as its really tough to arrange given everyone's busy schedule.
We were happy to see that Chuen Fei and Chuen Neng were able to join us. Chuen Neng is our brilliant cousin who has such a long string of titles at the end of his emails (his signature) that I am stumped as to what his roles actually are. He is 'head' of a long string of departments at NUH, Dept of Cardiac, Thoracic & Vascular Surgery, Dept of Surgery etc.
Food, wine and good company
