No grannies to ferry dd and I for our SM class today so dh had to be the chauffeur. After class, I was eager to check out the hdb shops downstairs since I had some time to kill before dh came back for us. As I needed to go washroom, I looked around the waiting lobby for someone to help me jaga dd but couldn't find anybody. I went back to our classroom to ask sensei whether she could help me.
Turning the corner, I saw one of the mummies talking earnestly to sensei regarding some unacceptable behaviour from dd's classmate(s) during class. Fortunately they ended their talk quite soon so sensei was free to jaga dd. Many thanks to sensei for walking us to the shops downstairs, teaching us where to buy nice cheap food ( dh bought the food home for dinner that night), and even lending a hand when dd did a poop job *xiexie!*.

Blocks
DD's attempts at stacking her blocks:
8 blocks in one stack
Seeing my camera aiming at her, dd stops for a second to pose.
At her last attempt at stacking, she managed to stack 10 blocks

Season
Sale season is here. I was at the shiseido sale and fox sale today. Hordes of people were there. Luckily my ex colleagues from the bank I used to work in, spotted me in the crowd and called me excitedly. Since they were invited guests with no need to Q, I was lucky to tag on and bypass the Q as well.
After the sale, I headed home to feed dd her lunch and lull her to bed for her nap. When dd awoke, we headed for the fox sale. Many thanks to mummy L for her emailed coupons *xiexie*.
The fox sale was rather dull compared to the previous one. I was there for a mere 15mins n left empty handed saved for one tee. O well, no loss, at least I learnt how to drive myself there for the first time.

Sippy
DH bought this new sippy cup for dd during lunch time last week. We were on the verge of buying it at the dept store when we heard that there was going to be a warehouse sale. So we held off for a week and we saved >50% (savings of >$20, so its worth the 1 week wait =P) off the price. BPA free, we are told. Lets hope dd will like it.

Zoo
DD's first zoo trip today! When dd was younger, dh had been of the view that dd won't enjoy any visit to the zoo. He also wasn't comfy with dd getting in close proximity to the various different animals. Hence when dd turned 18mo, we couldn't wait to visit but could only find the chance to do so today. And we are glad that we did!
It was a glorious day. A slight drizzle before we arrived at the zoo, cooled the ground and weather for us when we reached at 12 noon. Notice parts of the ground in the picture still dry though it had just drizzled. We were taking a big risk by visiting the zoo at 12 noon, the hottest part of the day. But we couldn't get out earlier =P . Fortunately the weather was shady and cool thru out our visit.
We got ourselves the one year family pass and with our Ikea card, it entitled us to a 10% discount on the membership fee. Our customer service person was very helpful in pointing out the various attractions to us.
DD was excited to see the kangeroos. She called them kangoogoo.
DD running for her life when a swimming hippo came near the wall of the tank where dd was standing.
DD : You mean all this lovely yummy food is for me?
DD: No kidding me right?
DD: Hooray ! what a treat !

Doubles
We were back at Centrepoint again today. Lunch was at the Teochew Garden restaurant where the food was really nothing to shout about. We were motivated to do a bit of early Xmas shopping since we were determined not to end up with a last minute shoplist. Coupled with the nice cutie freebie that they were handing out to shoppers at this mall, we reckon it was a good place to start our shopping. Couldn't resist picking up one set of this little miss naughty tees for dd and I.
After our shopping, we went to Fairprice finest at Bukit timah plaza to do our grocery for dd. They have a nice decent spread of organic foods there so it was a nice place to shop in.

Kind
This morning popo came over early so that we could chiong down to the Benefit cosmetics sale. After the sale, we popped down to Tangs for some shopping and for our lunch at the Tangs cafe.

After our lunch, we headed down to Centrepoint where there was an ongoing Mr men and little miss show at the atrium. Too bad I didn't have my camera with me. So no pictures there. The very pretty brolly from the kind lady

The calendar came with bookmarks at the side, and a whole page of stickers at the back of the calendar. Really cute!

We watched for 10 mins before deciding to move on. Seeing a long Q at the customer service counter, the curious cat in me moved up to the counter to enquire what the Q was queuing for. To my astonishment, a lady shopper who was also at the counter, overheard my query and offered to give me one set of the freebies as she has already gotten a set : a little men & little miss umbrella and a calendar. What a nice sweet gesture that was totally unexpected! .jpg)
