Moods

Today, sensei gave dd and her classmates an angbao each. DD said 'thank you angbao' and quickly came over to pass it to me. Sensei commented that dd had good focus in class and very well behaved. Even her classmate's mummy also commented on 2 seperate occasions to me, during our last sm term, that dd is very bright and well behaved in class.

I sum it all down to dd's 'moods'. IMHO, all kids have their moods and choose when to behave 'well' and when they want to be 'naughty'. DD has her good days but thats not to say she's doesn't have days when she can drive me up the wall. She has days when her sole mission is to wreck havoc on any toys/ books that she comes across and days when she doesn't even want to respond to a simple 'hi five'.

These days she knows exactly what is out of bounds and what she's not 'allowed' to do. When she is busy pulling dh's cookbooks off the bookshelves and we catch her red-handed, she tells us in the same reprimanding tone that we would have used (before we have a chance to do so) "Maishia! why you pull the books off the shelves?" The comical tone as she imitates us and her sentence somehow just makes the whole scenario funny instead of frustrating. Once, she opened her wardrobe and started pulling her neatly pressed clothes off onto the floor. Before anyone discovered her act of mischief, she went to dh and told him " o oh, Maishia pull clothes out of cupboard". When I went to dd's room to investigate, she quickly piped up " Maishia , why you pull the clothes out cupboard?!" Took the words right out of my mouth .... =P
