Approaching 23 months now, dd brought a smile to our faces when she did the following recently:
1) identified and named various colors in chinese even tho' she dislikes listening or answering anyone in mandarin. She will invariably reply any question in chinese with an english answer. She pronounces all her chinse words with an angmo twang . EG rabbit is tu1 zhi3 and carrot is called lollipop in chinese instead of luo po to her..
2) dictated what lullaby she wants us to sing to her during her bedtime. She may also change her mind halfway thru and ask for another song. She also dictates which position she prefers us to soothe her to sleep and tells us where she prefers to be 'patted' that is more comfy for her when we carry her.
3) sang her own medley of songs which includes :
skidamarink arink, skidamarink aroo, i love you
1,2,3,4,5, once i caught a fish alive, 6,7,8,9,10 then i let it go again
rain rain go away
4) Offered comments on where the things are at home.
5) Played with her food toys at her table and clasp her hands under her chin to say grace : " Heavenly Father ............. Amen!" before she started to 'eat' and 'drink' from her toys.
