Our lunch today is at the popular Shin Yeh. The same taiwanese restaurant that is available in Singapore. After lunch, we met popo and kongkong who are arriving from Singapore today and staying in the same hotel. After they checked in, all of us went to the Chiang Kai Shek memorial hall Dainty dd who always covers her face and eyes from the sun (and comments on how hot it is) gladly took over the brolly to shield herself from the glaring sunlight.The brolly is so big that she has to lift it up once in a while to check that she's walking in the right directionDinner that evening was at the hugely popular Din Tai Fung restaurant. Hordes of people Q up everyday, even after they have made reservations. Service was impeccable and we were truly impressed with novel little touches such as this satin seat cover that was provided to their patrons to use for covering their handbags and belongings when they place them on the chair next to them. Also, this very interesting 'fabric receptacle' that has a brown cloth covering the top allows customers to put their belongings in it comfortably without having to worry about its safety or taking up space on another chair. Thumbs up for their thoughtfulness! Even their bathrooms are very well fitted too. A worth while experience for any visitor to Taiwan. But please take note : the restaurant only accepts cash. I was most relieved to find that I had enough cash to foot our NT2000 bill when I found out about the cash only rule at the end of our evening there.
